the Shop California Tattoo Company is the oldest tattoo studio in southeast Georgia and was the first tattoo studio in Savannah, GA. The first shop was located downtown in the heart of the Savannah historic district at 117 Whittaker Street, owned and operated by "California Jack" and his wife Sharon since 1976. It was moved on June 24th 2002 to the Savannah Southside. Our 23 East DeRenne studio now home of the the best tattoo studio in Savannah, 2 years running. With the popularity of tattoos increasing in the late 80s, Jack began hiring more artists to keep up. Soon the downtown shop had become overcrowded with artists. At this point Jack decided to expand and open another location. With lots of time and hard work our second location opened at 111 W. DeRenne Ave. in the spring of 1999. In October of 2001 the second shop was moved to its present location at 23 E. DeRenne Avenue. We currently employ nine exceptional artists at our studio. We appreciate your interest in our work.
